So, what the 'HA' is LAUGHTER YOGA anyway?

LAUGHTER YOGA is a little bit of PLAY mixed with LAUGHTER 

that provides you with an amazing AEROBIC workout with 

no actual yoga poses or mats involved! 

The Yogic part is the breath work we do while paracting laugher.

We even do some brain gym exercises ~ with laughter - to make things more fun and beneficial!

Why LAUGH for the health of it?

Everyone knows laughter is the best medicine ... but why???

The physical act of LAUGHTER floods our bodies with

Dopamine. Oxytocin, Serotonin and Endorphins

which are essential to combat the stress hormones we create when we worry, are depressed, angry, lonely or in fear.


LAUGHTER YOGA is the only technique that allows you 

to achieve sustained hearty laughter without involving cognitive thought!

Science has proven that the body cannot differentiate between simulated or real laughter. Put another way, it doesn't matter if our laughter is a result of being entertained - or not!

The act of laughing actually produces these healing chemicals!!!

In order to produce a sufficient d.o.s.e. of your own

dopamine, oxytocin, serotonin & endorphins,

we laugh/practice laughter for 20-30 minutes.

A little history about this seriously silly aerobic practice:

In 1995, Dr. Madan Kataria was inspired to create a way to laugh for the health of it!   Having come up with a fun and effective method to easily get people laughing, he and his wife Madhuri have since traveled the world spreading the joy and LAUGHTER YOGA!  

A quarter of a century on, there are thousands of Laughter Yoga Leaders, Teachers, Master Teachers and Ambassadors around the world, dedicated to sharing these Recipes for Resilience with any and all!
